I'm a dad and software engineer living in Brooklyn. Outside of work, you'll find me spending quality time with my family. We love walking around Prospect Park, exposing my son to new experiences, and trying out a new coffee shop or restaurant.

I've been a software engineer at Amazon since 2015, working within AWS on file storage. Over the past 10 years I've built up deep experience designing and operating reliable, large-scale systems.

I've wanted to build a personal site for years, but never quite got around to it. Now, partnering with Claude, I finally have the leverage to make it happen. The site itself came together in minutes, and working together we can produce polished essays surprisingly fast.

The process of thinking through these topics and organizing my understanding helps me refine my opinions and sharpen my skills. Hopefully some of it is useful to others, sparks discussion, or at least provides a different perspective.

A note on authorship: Claude is my co-author on everything here, from the code to the content. That said, all opinions are my own.
